those there are the fabled Bhut Jolokia better wise known as Ghost Peppers.

My wife's grandpa used to make seasoned salt for years for friends and family. Mindee and I carried the torch after he passed. A few people even buy it Have had lots of requests for a hotter version, so I started piddling with ground pequins (Pappaw's favorite pepper). Got a version that tastes pretty good with some good heat (still semi in the testing phase). But the chili heads that asked for this version are asking for more heat. SO..... they're gonna get it.

I got 2 prototype batches planned out.

#1 has dried habaneros in it.

#2 will have everything in #1 with the addition of a few of these little bad boys.

My idea is NOT to have a novelty spice, but something that can be used if you really want to turn the heat up on something.

I just gotta go get a hazmat suit before I pop one of these in the ol' spice grinder!
