The Outdoor annual defines quartering as front quarters hind quarters and backstraps. It states that you cannot process deer beyond quartering unless at final destination unless for immidiate consumption.
So its a hot oct morning. you decide to quarter a deer so it will fit in the icechest for the long trip to the processor. Can you cut off the neck and other good meat from the post quartered carcas so it will fit in the icechest? If you remove the neck and other useable meat can you just throw out the remaining unuseable carcas? If its a doe how the heck do you keep proof of sex if quartered and the head is thrown out?
I know dumb questions!
