    Around the campfire

I posted this on another thread, but I wondered what it meant to other people.

    What say you?

Don't know about your campfire but at ours we talk about life, loves, kids, sports, and any combination of that. We ask questions about problems, issues, building stuff, and tearing stuff down. We tell stories about all things that matter and most of the stuff that doesn't. I've learned enough around the campfire to say some people are gonna be one of the best friends in my life, and some that I would like to kick into the fire.

If you saw inside me during an open heart surgery, there would be a campfire burning. The only place I feel more at home is in the arms of my wife and kids.

That's the way I see "Around The Campfire".

I miss our campfire. We've been in a burn ban so long we haven't had the opportunity. Amazing how that little fire can bring us together and spark great conversation. Without it lately, we've been sitting in the ranch house watching TV together. Not near as many great conversations, stories, and togetherness.

I've shared a camp fire with very few. But I wouldn't trade those moments for anything. Its something special. Something few people will ever understand.

Camp fires make you feel safe and clear your mind so you feel like talking. I like the fire with friends around it.

Always best with just a bit of a chilly nip in the air. Something pure about it and also helps to cool you down when laughing hard or when the tears come, from hay fever of course.

This was in response to someone asking why something was being discussed here. Because it is a hunting site.

As far as I'm concerned there is nothing off topic around the fire. Some things I watch other people discuss, if it gets too bad I'll go for another arm load of firewood.

Yeah camp fires are cool. I've sat around a few in my time and I wouldn't trade them for anything. I've also made some good friends and some that need to be gone.

I know that this isn't really a fire but, its close enough!!! And I don't see myself leaveing anytime soon. I've meet some really nice folks and made some new friends. And there is always someone with advice, it might not be what I want to hear but, the fact that ya'll are willing to help...is always a good thing. God Bless you all!!
