Good fences make good neighbors! There is a reason for that saying. Bulls will go through a great fence to get to cows that need affection and if the fences were poor then all the more reason to figure he just went walkabout! No need to worry, hold your ground, you are in the right.
IMO he is certainly in the wrong. I'd slap him with a bill for all the damages and labor. And i'd start shootin some cows if they came over anymore, just let him know first
Some counties of Texas still fall under a "Free Range" legal code. In other words ,it is your responsibility to keep cattle off of your property, rather than the cattle owners responsibility to contain his livestock. Check local code??
