Itching for a recurve

I have the same itch, and someone recommended that I read "Shooting the Stickbow" by Anthony Camera before I do anything. I'm glad I'm taking that advice because it is changing my outlook on some of my pre-conceived notions. I'm not going to spend a lot on a starter recurve. There are a lot of decent starter bows out there between $100-$150 from Samick, OMP, and Ragim that have been recommended to me. Lots of dealers on the internet carry those bows.

What do you consider a decent price? Trad bows can easily cost more then a compound, and hold their value very well. Alot of guys in the trad section that have been asking about starter recurves have been trying the Samick Sage. It's about $130, and it's a takedown, so you can buy it with lower poundage limbs to learn with, and once you get proficient, you'll just need to buy heavier limbs, instead of a whole new bow.
