I have a pair of lace ups that are the most comfortable pair of boots I've ever owned.

There is a wireline hand sitting across from me in the office right now wearing that exact model.
They are brand new (3 days old) so he doesnt really have any feedback, but says they are comfortable. Said they dont seem to need a break in period. The first day he put them on we worked 18 hrs and he says his feet didnt hurt.

You may be right about the soles. Our barges have wood decking and when I go onto a material barge they are normally dry. Dont have too much experience on slick metal decks. Sorry.

Those have the same top paturn as my newest pair, but mine are 15in stove tops/w ridding heel. I dont think you would regret getting a pair of twisted x.

I have a pair of their non steel toe work boots and I love them. If you are worried about stretching then I would get a pair with the saddle vamp on them. Mine fit very well. I would buy them in the store and not order them though. I tried on another pair of the exact same style and size as mine and couldn't get my foot in them the throat was so tight.

i have a pair of the square toe steel toe with green tops. Had em' bout 8months so far and they've been good. As a compressor mechanic they take a beating and have held up far better than my old pair of ariats

I bought a pair in December of 10 and by Feb. 11 the heel was worn down to bad to wear. The boots cannot be resoled either. I have tried to get Twisted X to warranty them but they wont. I was told that they have fixed this problem and the new soles are more durable. I just bought a second pair and gonna try them out for the simple fact of how comfortable my feet are in them. Yes they are the steel toed kind.

I've been givin Ariats and they have not been good for work boots. My twisted X are still going strong. Same pair as in the pic but with the stove tops. And a pair of lace ups that I can't let sit. My favorite boots now.

Roger on buying them in store. I will be making my way to cavenders when I get off the boat.

I have had these exact boots (not steel toes) that I have worn every day that I'm not on duty at the fire Dept. for the last 4 or 5 months. I love them! Those red tops are hideous, but I guess that's the new style, & since I don't ever wear my jeans "tucked", it's ok.
