Live: sitting on airplane and logistical issue

I arrive in Chicago and am sitting on the plane on the tarmac waiting for a gate. The pilot gets on the PA and says there are no open gates. The planes at the gates can't leave because they don't have crews. The crews are stuck on the planes sitting at the tarmac. Apparently no one knows how to solve this problem and It's been explained were not going anywhere anytime soon. Absolutely amazing there isn't a solution to this problem... At least I have TBH

A couple of those pilots that are holding need to taxi the other ones out of the way. I've never heard of an airport almost getting shut down because the gates are all full of empty planes.

Tell your pilot to get over there and move one.

That would be too simple . The pilot said "management is getting involved to figure out a solution" ... Words like that are always so comforting

At least the plane is pretty empty with only seven passengers on board so there is plenty of room to move around
