Walked into the feed store this morning, bout fell over when they told me the total was $22.55 for a #50 sack of whole corn !!

The shipping company raised their rate 15 % a few days ago. didn't take long !

I have my feeders set to spin for 2 sec, one time a day right now. If y'all will time your feeders, you'll find out that usually a 2 sec burst equals about 5sec of total run time from start up to off so you are getting a bit more nuggets on the ground than you think.

Tried that already, We have no natural nitrogen, the mainland corn seed comes up bout knee high, tassels then dies.

But then again $22.50 for 3 weeks of fun is better than 2 hours at a bar somewhere....besides my hogs are better looking, compared to...Never mind LOL

I don't like paying the higher prices for corn either, but, 35 years ago I paid $4.95 a bag. So paying around $10 or so seems cheap. No, not Hawaii, North Texas.

If you ain't already done it, try hanging a pie pan or a piece of tin right by the spinner. More "bang" for the buck!
