    Nissan Armada?

    Anyone have one?

It's about time for a new ride for the wife and the Armada is on the short list. Looking for real feedback with regard to fuel mileage. Also, just general feedback about ride, comfort, etc. Drove one this morning and it seemed to be alittle "tight", like a heavy duty truck would ride. Anyone?

I dont know much about the armada, but I just got done looking at lots of SUV's myself though not new ones. I ended up buying a 2004Tahoe Z71. between it and my friends 2011 tahoe, I cannot imagine how any other SUV could be better. This thing rides like a cadillac and has everything in the world on it. I do know the Nissan is supposed to be a solid vehicle though. Good luck in your search

Not an Armada, but we've had an Infiniti QX56 for about 2 years now. They are pretty much identical to the Armada, just have more bells and whistles. We consistantly get 14-15mpg, averaged city and highway. My wife likes it so much we'll most likely replace it with another QX56 when the time comes.

I have a 2004 Nissan Pathfinder. I love it, it is the best vehicle I have ever owned.

I have an 04' one of the first. I went through about a year of hell with it. Everything rattled, brakes wore out every other oil change. BUT after writing a letter to the Nissan dealership and bypassing the service rep they took care of everything. I assume you are looking at a new one so I can't really give you advice if thats the case. But if you are looking used they worked out most of the kinks on the 06's and up. The 08's got a lot more technology. My 04 sucks the gas. I get about 11 in town and 15-16 highway, the highway is usually 75-80mph, if you keep it 65 to 70 I can get around 17 mpg.
I really like mine and probably won't be getting rid of it anytime soon.

We had a Armada SL for 4yrs. Just down sized to a 2011 Nissan Rouge SL crossover(wife loves zipping around in it and 25 avg mpg)....kids growing up and no longer needed all the room. If your looking for fuel economy you will be disappointed, we were getting about 14 mpg avg. But if your in the market for a full size SUV with PLENTY of power and lots of room....look no further...the Armada does it all. If you have never had a Nissan....no worries...GREAT auto's, as you can see....we stuck with Nissan.

I drove one all week as a rent a car. Very nice roomy vehicle. Got about 17.2 mpg according to the computer. Not bad for the size and I drove it like a rent a car. Getting used to all the buttons and knobs took a bit. The radio and the driver A/C knob should be reversd! Its a big SUV and not one to take corners at high speeds!!!!!!!!!!
But I liked it alot and it would make road trips with the family very enjoyable!!!!!!!

I have a 2007 with 105000. I love it except for the gas mileage (16-17 highway). They only thing I've had go wrong is the driver side temp knob broke. It still has the original breaks. I've taken it in 3 times for break jobs and they keep saying I don't need it yet.

People that ride with me are surprised at the room. The 3rd row seats fold down flat and the second row seats can too. I can get a 4x8 sheet of plywood in mine and almost get the door closed.

We have a '10 model and my wife likes it better than the Tahoes she's had. (She's had 2 Tahoes). Lots more room. The Tahoe drove more like a car as the Armada is more like driving a truck. Gets 17-18 mpg all around. It will get up and go though.

Same here...we had a Tahoe before and prefer this.

The Nissan Armada is a thristy ride. My cousin has one and the she gets about 13 in the city and maybe 17 on the highway. The interior seems cheap. If you are considering a 2011 model, I would personally hold off on the Armada since a newer model design is expected soon or wait till the new models is about to come out and get the 2011 for a bargin. Good luck!!

This is what I was wondering about. We have a Tahoe and just can't get past buying an out-of-country ride (me). The ride of the Tahoe is so nice, it's hard to go away.

See above. We love our Tahoe.

I noticed that PARTS of the interior were poorly designed (foldover flaps for the "lay flat" third row. It looks like an old Trapper Keeper school binder. MY gut tells me they'll work that out in the 2012s, but I'll still be shooting for an 11, solely to save the coin. I just don't know if that's something I can get past.

It's amazing how much roomier the Armada is, even compared to a Suburban. They're cheaper, too. I don't know what to do.
