Gobbler Guillitine VS EMU whack and it was over almost cut his head off except shot was high and one blade cut thru his beak. Owner said it was the fastest kill he had seen.

I was just along for the ride and video. Tried some emu sausage and it was pretty good.

If you do and you get it on film, would you PLEASE turn to the camera and say "Hey Dog, did you see the size of that chicken?" That would make my day

There used to be about 8 or so Emu here on the ranch. They made the mistake of eating corn at my neighbors feeder during deer season.

          Whack em and Stack em!!!!!

I've shot one. That is the nastiest tasting critter God ever made. I am so glad I did not have to pay for the one I killed and will definitely NEVER pay to shoot one again. There is a reason that the slogan never caught on; it is because the meat tastes terrible! On a side note; did you kinow that they have essentially no breast. They got drumsticks the size of deer hams but no breast to speak of.

            JMHO,

No, but I'll never pass up a free one. Excellent eating. There were several emu farms around our family home place, and when the market crashed they let them loose. They will dominate a feeder. Chase everything else away worse than hogs. Made steaks out of the breasts and they were awesome on the grill. I also cooked them wrapped in foil with Italian dressing, onions, jalepenos, salt, and pepper. Good either way.

That stinkin bird let out a yell and started bouncing up and down and yelling as it ran while trying to flap it's wings. It seemed like it an forever and wouldn't die. When it finally hit the ground my buddies just had to take a picture of me and the critter. I have to admit I felt like the Sesame Street killer cause I just arrowed Big Bird. Tasty sucker though.
I Head shot one at Thompson Temples after he put s beating on my truck. The dang bird pecked up and down both sides of the truck, it looked like it had been in a hail storm. The damage wasn't permanent, but the bird is dead!

He was free. Guide said: head shot and he's yours!!!
