    Broadhead Science

Anyone catch it on the outdoor chanel this weekend? It never stated that it was a paid commercial for Swhaker but there were Swhaker commercials during the program. They tested a lot of broadheads, mostly mechanicals, and the Swhaker outperformed them all.

I have been a big fan of the Rage but I must admit they have me wanting to try the Swhaker now.

I really wish I could've seen that, but I don't have The Outdoor Channel. So did they test it against the Magnus Stinger 4 blade?

They didn't say the name of any of the broadheads that they tested. I recognized the Bloodrunner and Rage. Isn't that a fixed blade broadhead?

I watched it and once I realized it was a big infomercial for one broadhead I was done. I have used rage and( tekans which I currently use). Have taken hard quartering away shots and have had passthroughs with these two broadheads. Hey you do what you got to do to make money! That's why academy has swacker broadheads on clearance. Just my .02. Have a great day.

Yeah I know. But the slow motion photography was pretty convincing. When the blades break of explode on impact it tends to change your mind a little.

I'll bet if they gave it a different name to begin with it would have sold better. I laughed and thought it was the silliest name when I had seen a commercial about a year ago. "Swhaker" wouldn't be in my gear bag.

Honestly if Hank wasn't pushing them I probably wouldn't be as skeptical. I mean the guy swears by Cmere Deer.

Ya the camera tells a different story.... WHICHEVER STORY YOU WANT TOLD.... How many takes did it take to break those blades? How many times where they shot before they did?

Look at the barrel they were shooting, They kept turning it and each shot there was many more holes in the barrel than they showed on camera..

I saw it... watched the whole thing.... then made my decisions on what I saw.

It was immediately followed by the banjo minnow show... never used one of those either but they catch a whole lot of fish on TV with em!!!!

Hank Parker endorses swackers, he also endorses come meer deer (or however thats spelt) and in my experience that stuff REPELS deer!!! But on TV its deer CRACK!
He also endoses Morell Targets and from my experience those things are awesome!!

So dont go by what you see on TV... Buy it and try it out.

I did notice that there were already holes in the 55 gallon drum as he rolled it out. I have used Rage for a couple of years now and for the most part have been pleased. But as far as I am concerned they are a one and done product meaning you can only use those blades on one animal and then they have to be totally replaced (and yes I have had some break off). I am now using fixed blades on hogs because they can be resharpened and reused. They don't give the greatest blood trails though.
