    Shane,
I took these this afternoon with this thread in mind on my afternoon walk. Best I could do with what scenery I have in the neighborhood.
(wish the sun was right...or at least spilling through here)

He said he'd trade me the use of a photo for a print if I would draw one of his a Midwestern subspecies deer in a Midwestern scene. I told him I might be interested in that one of these days, but I am working on a bunch of drawings that require Texas scenery right now.
Wrong!!! George Barnett is my uncle, born in Oklahoma, lived in Texas forever.

Interesting older thread here. If I'm not mistaken it was George Barnett that had a photo of a huge free ranging buck taken at an undisclosed location not that far from Dallas. 50-75 mile radius I think it was? I am trying to remember what publication that was in and have about decided it was in the Dallas Morning News outdoor section. Years ago.

Thinking back on that, I figure now it was probably taken at Hagerman based on Grayson's post.
