tripod foot rail ideas needed...

I am building a tripod stand, patterned after one I currently have. the legs fold in to the middle for easy transport.

I need to make/buy a foot rail. the current one is 24", but I am looking to make/get a 28" diameter rail.

the old one uses 1/4 " rebar bent into a circle.

Is it fairly easy to bend 1/4" rebar into a 28" circle? any other ideas how to create the footrest?

I use square tubing on mine, (maybe 1-1/2" or 2") attach a piece to each leg/ Or you could take some 1" sch 40 pipe and, using a conduit bender, bend it into a circle. Attach to one leg and use bolts on the other two legs that the pipe can come off and on with wing nuts...

I have 2" square tubing that has one section cut out. These will be my stubs and weld to top plate for the tripod "stub. I will have smaller tubing fir inside and pivot at the top. I will try to gt some pix.

wonder if 1/2 " elec. conduit would work. Gotta figure a way to make a circle.
