Diesel additive that works better than I thought it would

Put it in for my latest trip from Houston to Texoma. Didn't think my truck could get quieter, it did. Got 19.5 mpg (average 17.8 on the highway before). I thought the noise reduction was just me. Friend called me today and asked if I heard the difference. We went in together on 5 gallons of this. Opti-lube XPD. I bought it just for the lubricity add.

This reminds me. I need to pick up some more two stroke. Haven't run it the last ten tanks or so. Bad on me .

Might have to give it a try

Read the test they did on dieselplace and thought I would give it a shot. Go read it if you get a chance

It was $190 for 5 gal BTW

I've read it before. Seems legit. Just never have bought any.

        Send me a sample

I use this stuff.........does an amazing job of quieting the engine down and provide lubricity. Its cheep too. It does not increase mileage though......

So whats the math on the savings you got for an added 2 mpg more by $190 per 5 (whateverthe mixture rate is).
It make sense? (other than the asthetic about it quieting down the engine)

I wanna see the math, as well.

Will it make my stacks quieter?

Give RACOR a try. It adds lubricity and raises the Cetane content at a fair price. Some say their mileage goes up too but I havent noticed much of a difference.

I put in 8oz in a full tank. It says 1/4 to 1/2oz per gallon. 8 oz was what the container they shipped with the bucket to carry some with. I haven't done the math as the mileage was just a bonus for me, I bought it because the test done showed it added the most lubricity (besides adding a bunch of biodiesel)
and that is what I was after.

At 1 Mpg increase it saves me 1 1/4 gallon per tank. Figure 5 bucks per tank

640oz in 5gal. .33 cents an oz including shipping. $2.62 a tank at 8 oz for the additive. I will bump it up to 13oz to the 26gal tank when I am in Houston and don't have to carry it all over. If my numbers are off tell me

Once again I am using it because ULSD provides below the lubricity levels recommended by engineering groups and I'm trying to save wear on the engine

If you go to their website it has the independent test performed by dieselplace.com. 2 stroke oil was also in that test
