FWIW, Bubba is currently #11 in the World Golf rankings and #1 on the PGA Tour FEDEX cup standings. Not bad for a self taught golfer who never took lessons growing up. IMO you have to have some cockiness and a strong cerebral mindset to be consistent and win on the PGA Tour.


More importantly, he's a Christian who puts God 1st in his life. One of my best friends carries his bag as both Bubba and Ted Scott (caddie) are men of the Lord and attend Bible study classes weekly.

I venerate people based on their moral compass, not their World rankings in golf.

I feel burned right now...I also don't judge what humans do because it's not my job. As long as he is sorry for what he did, his beef is not with me. It's good that Bubba is a big Christian because so am I but he doesn't give off the impression while he is being interviewed at the golf course or his attitude while on the golf course. Once you reach that top 10 in the WGC it's tough to advance further. If he does I'll be happy for him but I can understand why Phil and Tiger are FIG JAMs. They have earned it.

Pretty cool that you know his caddie, Blake. I just watched a special on how Bubba had changed (or is in the process of changing) his outward behavior towards people all because his caddie told him he was done working for a jerk. Sounds like your buddy helped him realize his faults and turn him into a better person and one of the hottest (athletic abilities only, fellas ) golfers on tour this year.
