Javelina Season?

checking out the new hunting dates and saw a javelina Season.. is this new or am i just not up to date with this creature? i remember that they had no closed season but a limit of two...

If I recall correctly, there are only a few counties that have a season. The rest of the State is open year round.

Been that way at least the last 5 years, maybe longer.

Certain counties have seasons on them and are not year round like most of south TX. Be sure to check so you get in trouble. Also, there is a limit of 2 a year in those counties.

From what I can remember seeing isnt the season something like Sept 1- Aug 31 making it year round?

Season is closed in parts of the state, open year 'round in others and seasonal in others. Check your TPWD field guide for your area.
