    Blackbuck and feed pen question

Will blackbuck go into a feed pen? I'm assuming they won't jump a fence like a whitetail.
I've got a pasture that has whitetail, blackbuck and a few horses in it and I want to start feeding protein. I have no hogs so all I need to keep out of it is the horses, while letting the blackbuck in.

No, they will not jump into it.

I've got my bottom Barb wire raised up to 26 inches from the ground and they go under it just fine. I just have cattle so no experience fencing out horses.

Yes they will. I don't think I have a picture on this pc but when I build my feeder pens I always leave one corner "open" with just a T post wired across the gap. Just like a creep feeder. Keeps the cows out, but the deer and black buck will duck under. It also has the advantage that you can control which direction the deer enter the pen....

Fence it in like a creep feeder for calves. basically a small narrow opening that the blackbuck go in but horses can not fit.
