If you are ever in the market for window tint, PLEASE do not go to Custom T's or Custom Tint whichever they call theirselves now. I just bought a new truck 2 weeks ago and decided to have the tint done last week. Their price was reasonable but I had to figure out how to get it in to their shop since I work out of town 6 days a week. What they agreed to do was to, after my fiance came up there, take her home and keep the truck until they could fit it in and then they picked her up and she dropped them back off at the shop. I was very pleased with them at that point and thanked them very much for working with me. However, when I got home from work I immediately went to check out the job they did. This is where it all went downhill because I found numerous air bubbles that they passed off to my fiance as water bubbles and that they would disappear within the 5 days I couldnt roll my windows down. After looking closer I noticed large amounts of dirt trapped behind the tint and water streaks down all of my doors and front windshield. I immediately went to wipe all of the streaks off of the doors and noticed that they also scratched up the rear door panel right on top next to the window and I know for a fact it wasnt there before they took the truck. Because of being busy at work and lack of cell phone reception during the day time I wasnt able to call until the following week which also ended the 5 day period that I was restricted in rolling down the windows and the supposed water bubbles would have disappeared. When I called I only intended on mentioning the problems with the tint and just accepted although its a new truck small scratches like the one on the door panel are going to happen but I needed my tint re-done. I told the lady that there were air bubbles still there and that there was dirt behind the tint and she immediately got defensive and said there was no way. So I went ahead and told her that was not the only problem and that they didnt clean up after themselves and they also scratched a door panel. She then got a bad attitude and passed me off to her husband who answered the phone rudely asking what the hel* my problem was. So I repeated the same thing I told his wife and he told me there was no f*ing way he did that and he had been doing this for 20 years and he cleans up after every job. I told him he didnt clean up after mine and that the tint needed to be replaced. He told me if I had a problem with how he did business I could just come on down in a threatening manner. Me being the hothead I am took off from work and drove an hour and a half to make it before they closed and was surprised to see they closed up shop early. That brings us to today where I got off early from work and stopped by to have the tint re-done. When I went in I explained who I was and was not rude at all and he said lets go take a look at it then real rudely. I showed him the problems and he was surprised to see every window was bad and asked you want me to replace every window??? I said yes I paid for every window to be done correctly so yes I do expect that. Then enters his wife who said I was rude to her on the phone and I could kiss her a**. I told her that if I came across as rude I apologize but I was unhappy with the service I received and the cussing/tone that was thrown at me on the phone. All I wanted was for the tint to be replaced correctly and that would be the end of it but he told me they werent touching my truck and that I could sue him if need be while his wife was behind him SCREAMING at me saying they wont touch my piece of s*** truck, which by the way is a $55,000 2011 Dodge Dually. He then told me to get off of his property or he would call the cops. I jumped in my truck and sat there as I called around to find the justice of the peace so I could file a civil suit. I sat in my truck for about 20 minutes while talking on the phone, all the while knowing he didnt own the parking lot. Then the cops show up and tell him that the parking lot is not his property and that as long as I do not go into his store he has no grounds. I explained I didnt stay to harass him but I was trying to find the Justice of the Peace and that I had succeeded in finding it and was leaving. He thanked me and explained just dont go in the store. I then left and headed to the Justice of the Peace and they explained how to carry out a civil suit. I have typed a 10 day demand letter that I have to send certified mail after I find out what the guys name is and if they dont make things right in that 10 days then I have to go in and pay an $81 fee and they will serve them. It is going to cost me money in the end because I know my only compensation will be for the tint and court cost but how can I prove they scratched the door panel and they wont compensate me for lost wages but too many people let companies just get away with crap like this so Im going to actually do something about it. Also while I was at the Justice of the Peace the asked who the suit would be against and I told them Custom T's which is the same thing as Custom tinting and they explained that they didnt think they were still in business because there were numerous complaints and they were being evicted. The guy who owns the place had been in filing paperwork on them. I am extremely frustrated and dont want anyone to have to deal with these people.
