I shot it today, and although I think it will be a great shooter, I did not like it. I bought a Guardian and had it for 3 months and sold it. I never got comfortable with it. The general is a little lighter, quite a bit slower, but seemed nice and shock free. I still think the draw cycle on my Allegiance was easier to me than the General. I shot the General with speed mods on it and it seemed to have a constant build to the let off. The wall is good and solid with no sponge feel to it.

Overall I think it will be a great hunting bow, but I think the Tribute was a better bow.

I put my order in for a 101'st Airborne with the HD Grey camo. Not expecting it until after the first of the year though.

I setup and shot the Diamond Marquis last night as well. Not bad at all.
Dang Eric I did not see this, I shot the General today at Sams, and he had just put the speed mods on it. You mioght go by there and try it with the speed mods. The Marquis is sweet.

Looks like you are going to have to give up speed for smooth on that one.

I know people will be raving on how smooth it is, but just how smooth do we need them at the cost of power. It is a compromise some are willing to make.

I wish they'd have put the brace at 7 1/2-7 3/4" and gave us a little more fps to play with. 8+ " brace on an STS equipped bow is just extra air space to me. Yeah I know the bow will be more forgiving with the huge brace, But this is a short ATA bow which usually means ground blind and tree stand hunting= short range shots.
Most people who shoot long range will seek a 34" + bow for that purpose.

The magic 320+ range is what people who shop "power" bows are after IMHO.
I guess this bow will fill the "smooth" niche in the bowtech line-up.

Who knows, maybe this bow design will change the way people think about ATA & brace.

the General looks nice but I am holding out until they make a "Gunney" model then they will have something, no offense Airborne.

I wonder if we will be able to get the Airbourne's in target colors. Should I fall in love with the 101, it would be sweet to be able to order in Black Marble.

Eddie has one at the shop here in Bryan

                  IBO 301
                  Smooth mods
                  Giant looking wagonwheel cams
Has this ugly looking giant sts thing on it.
I do like the roller guard.

I dont like it near as well as my Guard, but with the speed mods I might change my mind.

Didn't they put the roller guard on as there were fletching clearance issues using Blazer vanes on the commander and guardian? I remember a thread about that awhile ago.

Matthews bows have a similar roller guard and I felt it put lateral stress on the bow causing it to cant on the draw. Id like to hear if anyone that shot this bow felt it
