Ram Hunt

I just got invited to go on a ram hunt a few weeks from now, and i am super excited but theres one catch...... i never been on a ram hunt before. So for all you guys that have, can you give me some tips and pointers on what to expect ?

look at lots of pics so you know what a big one looks like.

Where are you going? Depends on the ranch some are spot and stalk and some are sit over a feeder. I haven't hunted rams per say but been on a couple stalks with guys that were going to take a ram. They seem to like to stick together also. Make sure you take txag's advice also and know your different breeds so you don't end up shooting something off limits or higher dollar. Also have fun.

I only shoot fixed, but why wouldn't you want to use a mechanical on a ram?

Rams are a blast to hunt! You'll have a great time. Don't let anyone talk you out of trying the meat. It makes some DARN good summer sausage and brats as well as jerky.

yeah thats where we are going. i am guessing theres a lot out there?
