Cool pic. Definitely has the head shape of a big cat.

Looks like a lion to me.
I live in Northern Parker county and I have seen 2 of them over the years. The first I was coming home late from work (before we were high fenced) and I did not have a gun but, I tried to hit him with my truck.........they are quick.
The second time was after we were high fenced and he was walking around the outside of the fence where we had a bunch of young axis deer. Heaven to him I am sure. Well, I could only see him from the county rd and I had a gun but, I was scared about shooting from a CR. So I circled around and never found him again.
Now, we are not that far from Montague so I see no reason they would not be there also.

Looks like a mountain lion to me. If your buddy isn't messing with you and it is behind his house I would try and shoot that sucker, especially if he has outside animals or kids. Years ago in the winter time when I lived in New England we had a cat jump into our Chow's pen and kill him, not sure why, but we could see where he jumped into the pen from the tracks in the snow and then well to say the least the snow wasn't the pretty white you would normally see, and our dog was backed into a corner next to his house, torn to pieces. I'm sure that its not common, and our cattle were never touched, so maybe our dog just ****** the old cat off.

Thanks for the input everyone, we went out to our place yesterday to fill feeders and setup another stand location, the picture was taken very close to where we hunt. My friend is very legit and normally would not kid around on something like this. He had told about the picture on monday and sent it to us yesterday, never been to the exact location of the camera, but it does look like the terrain and vegatation behind his house. I'll keep everybody posted on any news.
Thanks
