    It makes you feel good...

To know not all world class atheletes are selfish. I am the current Pres. for the Hill Country Stampede PRCA rodeo in Marble Falls TX and this past weekend we held our rodeo. Good friend of mine and 5x NFR Bareback rider, Chris Harris, came down Thrus to help me promote the event. He went to the Boys and Girls Club and signed over 200 autographs and met with every kid. He also donated a pair of chaps that he wore at the NFR to be raffled of later that night for the club as well.( they sold for $2500.00) Chris also challenged the high point ride in the Bareback Riding each night for $1000.00. He won both challenges and donated that to the Boys and Girls Club as well, for a total of $4500.00. It may not be much $$$ in the sports world but it meant millions to me and the kids. Chris will be vying for a world championship in Vegas in December, so for all you rodeo fans root for him to be successful. Chris and I will be going to Kansas in a few weeks for a deer hunt and I sure hope I can repay him by getting him a mid west monster!!!!!

Hey Brandon, I'll sign autographs anytime you want and I will also donate a slightly used pair of hunting boots for a raffle if you'll take me to Kansas.

Seriously, thanks for all you do for this area and a salute to Chris for serving as the kind of role model our youngsters need.

        Cool story -

I would watch the news and read the paper if they reported more good stuff like that.

Thanks for keeping up in the loop and informed about good deeds.

WHats great is that Bradley Harter a 3x NFR Saddle Bronc rider came up to me wanting to do a match ride next year, with him donating his winnings to a local youth charity. Guys like this is why the sport of rodeo is so well recieved throughout America.
