Aside from the obvious, THIS is the info I've been waiting for...

Saw a few sites today, with folks wondering if the team would have had enough time to grab any viable intel.

The assault force of Navy SEALs snatched a trove of computer drives and disks during their weekend raid on Osama bin Laden’s compound, yielding what a U.S. official called “the mother lode of intelligence.”

The special operations forces grabbed personal computers, thumb drives and electronic equipment during the lightning raid that killed bin Laden, officials told POLITICO.

“They cleaned it out,” one official said. “Can you imagine what’s on Osama bin Laden’s hard drive?”

Heard the same thing the other day as a rumor... BUT, it's being reported that UBL had been camped out inside that p.o.s. mansion for a good while now. Was built for him specifically. Said there was NO internet, phone line or any other kind of communication.

Sure, there will be loads of info on his hard drive, probably mostly just his crazy ramblings but I wonder how much info he's added onto there just from what he's gathered from outside sources. (word of mouth... [no internet]). The "good" stuff we ALL want to see.. His ideas & plans, where other members are or may be camped out at, next targets, etc...

No doubt most of his marching orders and other commo was sent via currier on thumb drives etc... to avoid the possibility of intercept, ... hopefully generated by one or more of those computers... a good crypto/forensic data recovery experts dream job.

I'd be willing to bet that there was a sat-phone and internet link. There were no phone lines or internet cables but no way that guy wasn't connected to the .net. My bet is he was not using land based comms but instead using sat comms.

Good point...which begs the question as to what consideration was given to keeping Bin Laden's death as quiet as possible for time enough to go through the info and see if it pointed to some viable targets?

Been reported that that image is from the moment during the operation that the helicopter stalled.
They had live video and audio feeds.
