    Cobra Kayaks?

    Does anybody use one?

I was thinking about the Tourer or the navigator-xf http://www.cobrakayaks.com/kayaks.html

I have dove out of them in the pacific ocean and stood on one in the surf and it was stable even with my dive gear on during a spear-fishing tournament.

What are you going to use it for? I've owned the Explorer, Navigator and Marauder. All 3 are great fishing platforms but these are rough water boats. If you plan long flat water paddling, look at the tourer.

I don't do plastic boats anymore but when I did, Cobra was most impressive to me based on the thickness of their plastic and the overall weight. Cobra hulls are much tougher to damage than O.K. or others and I absolutely loved the little explorer that I could toss in the truck bed. Due to the unique bottom shape, it tracks like a much longer boat. That is probably the only plastic boat I wish I still had.

My favorite cobra yak was my custom marauder I had made. Orange in the front faded to yellow in the middle and lime green in the back. Next to that was our fish and dives.

You stood up in a tourer? With gear on??????????? WOW!

The one I stood up in wasn't a Tourer but I wanna say it it was a navigator or something smaller. I was considering the tourer because of hatch locations and stuff so I could spear out of it a lot easier. I love the lay out on that marauder though I was considering that type of set up
