    best broadhead for hogs?

I'm a Rage fan but have read bad reviews with the Rage vs Hogs..With little penitration. I'm shooting a Parker Wildfire XP with a 56lb draw. What would your recommendation be on a broadhead to blow through a pig?

Ive never lost a hog with a rage, matter of fact Ive never tracked one longer than 50 yards. Shot placement is key!!

Not being rude but how many hogs have you shot? Ive killed over 40 with a rage and never lost one. If your confident in your set up get after it, to each their own.

Everyone has their oppinion and thats all mine is. Im confident in my set up and not concerned in the slightest bit with my Rage...

I haven't shot many but my point is mechanicals lose energy when they hit something they don't like. And with pigs you need all the energy you can get to punch thru.

I agree with you about placement!
It doesn't matter what you use if your placement is right.

If your placement is good any will work if you shoot into "plates" I would use heads with greater penetration against hard surface.

                  Lot's of testing out there.

I keep waiting on one of Razor's new heads that he said was in the mail....till then I'm Reigning down on stuff.

Not a broadhead made likes hitting anything some just compensate better Ive used Rockets,Muzzys,Slick Tricks,Vortex,Steel Heads, and the list goes on but Im just as happy with the Rage as any of the others. Not starting a mechanical verses fixed blade tabu but the fact is if you shoot them in the butt odds are you wont recover them Placement is the key to any animal recovery.

The one you shoot the best and have the most confidence in. Im a rage fan myself. Havent lost anything that I hit in the vitals. Lost 2 pig's but both were due to very poor shot placement.

i've killed them with both fixed and rage...the ones that got the rage left a much better blood trail though. i dont have much broadhead loyalty. I currently have rage 2 and 3 blades, G5 montecs and strikers, and some NAP bloodrunners (2 and 3 blade). they all seem to work for me...especially for hogs
