    Videoing hunts learning curve

Have had some hogs and a gang of coons hitting one of my feeders. My 14yr old son has been shooting faithfully and we bought him a light for his sights and a package of nockturnals. So this afternoon we decided to head out and try to get him his first bowkill and get it on video

We were semi-successful, we did get a shot on video

However, I almost messed it completely up by taping over some of it. I did get the impact on video but just barely. Apparently when I reviewed the shot I did not run it far enough past the shot to resume filming. Blood trail looked pretty good at the start and i tried to get some footage of the blood trail and that is where I messed up

I thought he hit the pig in the shoulder but he actually hit him in the neck just in front of the shoulder. We tracked him for about 250-300yds before we decided to call it. After reviewing the video I will be heading out after church to have another look and see if I see any buzzards. Maybe I can dig my slicktrick out before he gets too nasty

The moral of this story is BE SURE OF WHERE YOUR TAPE IS STOPPED BEFORE HITTING RECORD

Well we looked some more after church, no pig and no sign of buzzards

Wish I could have atleast got my slicktrick back, if he show back up on camera I will be flinging another one at him in an attempt to get the first one back

When you get to where the footage is, always run in past about 10 more seconds just to be double sure you are not anywhere close to taping over your previously recorded footage.
