I always spray myself down good with scent killer and spray doe urine on the bottom of my shoes before walking anywhere near my blind. I also spray it on the branches surrounding the blind. Seems to work most of the time. I believe I also read here on the green screen to stand over your camp fire before going out that they are used to the smoke smell and usually don't think twice about it.
The products listed may work, may not. Most important in the wind, and where the wind is blowing your scent. You can't be scent free, you have to breath, and thats the worst scent, coffee, snuff, beer, bourbon, etc.
certainly not looking to start anything here but i think it's hit or miss half the time. i don't go overboard with controlling my scent at all and i've ended up on the ground, just a few feet from deer on multiple occasions and haven't gotten winded. other times, i may take very good care to minimize any scent i might have and it seems they wind me from a mile away. either way, it seems it isn't an exact science and that minimizing your movement is going to do just as much, if not more, good
I just heard from Paul at Double G archery that Skunk Skreen is going to be produced again. He said, I think, in Temple. It was the two part stuff and was the best I've ever used. It will just about completely cover your scent. I'll let you know when I find something out.
Noticed that too. Think (hope) he meant he hasn't killed one from the ground.

I've only shot @ 2 deer that I recall. I'm not much of a deer hunter usually duck hunting that time of year. But I've been within a few feet of them a lot more times than I have hogs...seems they can smell anything...deer...not so much.
Just to set the record straight the wind is almost always in my face and the trails the hogs come in on are to my right and straight ahead. So I've been playing the wind, they still get scent of me at times. Just didn't know if there was anything better I could do other than go to a tree stand/tripod which I'm not going to do.
