    Fracking?????

    MY boy told me he landed a job FRACKING,dosent pay werth a dern, but he said theres plenty of hours! I know theres a shortage of jobs so I'll thank Jesus for the blessing .My question is anybody know anything about this profession.

          On CSI the other njght they said it was a method of extracting natural gas from rock.It was on TV so it must be true.

            They are fracking all over the place here in Gonzales County. It sure looks like they must be paying good. I haven't heard if they have hit a dry hole yet.

              There's a ton of ways to do it and a lot of guys on here can explain it better than me as I'm on the drilling side. Fracing is short for fracturing. The way that I'm most familiar with is injecting high pressure fluids and sands into a section of the well that's in the pay zone. It breaks down the formation that the gas or oil is in and let's it flow to surface. There are a lot of hours and it's not too laborious. It's a good job with a ton of opportunities!

                    If they're fracing then it's not a dry hole. After the well is drilled they will run a logging tool down the hole and it will tell the oil/ gas company how much oil or gas is there. They won't frac without knowing they'll make money.

                          he is a natural gas rough neck, and there is a spike in natural resources drilling in tx. brother has been doing it for a few months
