    Backing up an Ipod

I just recieved a used Ipod I bought from a fellow TBHer and there are files on it I want to keep.

I know if I add my stuff it will erase the existing files.......... how do I back them up so I can keep them (the ones on the ipod already)

I was told if you select to manually manage files it should keep them but I am not 100% sure

Plug the iPod into your computer It should sync and backup. The sane with iPhone. At least mine does.

I think you can just copy and drag them into a file stored on your desktop

If you sync, you will overwrite what is on the iPod with your iTunes selection. Use a separate file manager, e.g. iPhone explorer, which also works for iPod, to access the files on your iPod to copy them over before you sync w/iTunes.

Copy songs, playlists, ratings and playcounts from iPod to computer, and import to iTunes, newly released and FREE download
