A long time outfitter told me many years ago "you don't hunt sheep, you collect them". I've killed a lot of them but not as many as Katie. I probably won't take another unless it's the aforementioned Stone etc but if one gets in front of Katie, game over!

Not much different than shooting a deer under a feeder, which I happily partake in also.
        Good point.

It all depends. If they have been raised in someone's backyard, they are tame pets. If they have been raised more free range style, they can be very spooky. The spooky ones are the only type I would hunt.

All I need is that pesky Black Hawaiian...

They are fun to hunt and they make some GOOD summer sausage.
and the jerky is great too!

My sheep killing has always gone something like this

                1) I'm hunting Blackbuck setting at a feeder. 6 sheep come in and start eating the corn. I think" I don't want to shoot a Sheep"...... but if I was gonna shoot a Sheep, which sheep would I shoot. One was alot bigger than the others, so I shot him. I had to he was getting away

                2) I'm on one of those hog hunting places. Slipping around looking for a pig. I spot this white sheep raising up on his back legs eating leaves out of a tree. He was 75 yards away. every time he dropped down I would slide up a little closer. I ended up 15 yards from him, he never knew I was in the world. When he raised up again he had a crease behind his shoulder that just screamed out at me. I had no choice but to shoot him.
I have never set out to shoot a Sheep but they will not stay away from me

I think it's funny - you always hear the same thing from people when they describe these goat shoots. (regardless if they are talking about Thompson Temple or one of the other places.)

"You can make it as difficult or as easy as you want."

Now - I've been to TT's place twice, several years ago and I've stuck a few of his goats. That statement is true. You can shoot the goat that walks up to you at camp or you can spend the day running all over Hell's half acre on the other side of that hill/mountain. It's just not fun to me. It's absolutely no differnet than taking you bow and hunting cattle. I've got no desire to shoot something that tame or something that has a tag in its ear. Just my opinion.

The ones that appeared they might be a challenge all seem to be priced to high for me.

There is even a thread on here about someone unloading TTs trailer before the"hunt".
