Good info...Gosh Darn there are alot of new cameras

Thinking the Leupold RCX cameras will be super nice. Might have to get one. So many BTC type cams, which are similar to the Bulk Buy Cameras we ordered on TBH.

I spoke with a rep about these new cameras yesterday. The IR will do video during the night and day and obviously the non-IR only video during the day. He was telling me that 4 batteries have a long life taking pictures in this camera and the MPEG format used noted as a .MP4 saves some energy on the battery when encoding the videos. I went to Cabelas yesterday to pick up some corn and they don't have them. There's no 6 Volt slot and the rep said that the battery life is so good they didn't need them. Still, I would like to of seen a 6 volt slot for external battery use. I think I'm going to sit back and watch the reviews as there will be several new cameras released in the next few months by various manufacturers. Now is a good time to pick up last years models as I see many are going on sale at places like Academy.

The rep emailed me a sample video which I was able to play in the Ipad but I could not get the file to upload to the Ipad from a secure digital card reader. It wouldn't recognize it. This is a problem that Apple will have to solve.

Yes Cuddeback life isnt all its hyped up to be. They need an external battery slot. Stupid why they dont come up with one.

Old cuddebacks were better. I got 2 battery packs made and custom put on by a TBHer. Check out the DIY thread on it. SOlar Panel and 6v battery

I am not sure about the new Cuddebacks but I am not happy with the old ones that is for sure. I had one for about 6months and had to send it back because it would flash low battery. I sent it back and they sent me another one. 7 months later the battery tab broke and I had to send it in again. When they received it they called me and said we do not keep parts for these( really you don't have a .25 battery tab). Please give us $110 bucks and we will ship you a new one. I thought that was total bs! Understand my cameras are only out about 3 to 4 months a year!! I will not buy another Cuddeback new or old model! I am looking in to the new plotwatcher pro next!!!! Just my 2 cents is all!!!!!

                      thanks

I have 2 Cuddebacks and 1 Truth cam 35 ( that I bought on sale for $69 bucks about 6 months at academy)I should have bought more of the truth cams. Its not perfect but for 69 bucks you cant beat it!!! I also have an old Moultrie with a solar panel and all that it still works just pics arent that great. I am waiting for the new plotwatcher pro's to come out and I am going to get one of those. I have been reading alot of good reviews. Its the pro's the one you want the other ones eat batteries up to fast.

                              PM sent.

All Hunten Cam's have 6 volt external jack or for solar to recharge whatever battery is inside. A big plus to me as batteries are the big problem with most camera's along with trigger speed although most are improved in that area.
