    Strong built tripods/stands

I didn't know it until just now, but Strong Built went out of business! Wth, their tripods were my favorite, I just tried to go online to order two of their stands, and it says they are closed. That really stinks, anybody know what happened? The only tripods I could find on Bass Pro, Academy, Gander Mountain etc were Big Game Stands, and I am not a fan of Big Game tripods. I am really bummed

I wish I could help, but I am not familiar with the newer models. I had 3-4 of them I bought back in the 90's, they finally wore out and I was going to buy two more, that's when I discovered they are out of business.

If those things are giving you trouble, I will buy em from ya lol

Sorry, I've only hunted out of them but they should be self explanatory after you lay out all the parts.

i believe they went out of business in October 2010

some history ..... StrongBuilt International, LLC was founded in 1996 and is based in Waterproof, Louisiana. On April 1, 2009, StrongBuilt International, LLC filed a voluntary petition for reorganization under Chapter 11 in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Louisiana.

... Like other tree stand manufacturers, SB had numerous lawsuits filed against them b/c people were injured or fell out of there tree stands (I'm sure some of these same people were NOT wearing safety harnesses )

I suppose SB never recovered from the Ch 11 , litigation, and poor economy

PM Keenan, I think he has a couple he will sell. I have one of their tripods still in the box in my garage.

                          This is old news.

The Academy in Burleson had 2 sets of legs but no platforms a few days ago.
