What do you want in a bow?

Spent a couple days with some engineers in the archery industry and they want to know what the consumer feels would be important in a bow design.

I'm sure we will hear quiet, speed, smooth, letoff, cool camo pattern, but that bow already exist....what else you want?

Need your input here let us know what you feel is lacking or what would you change about your current bow or do to improve it?

Here is your chance to have some say for bows in 2012!

any really cool ideas send them to me via PM

Less "stuff". I want a bow that has fewer small parts to fail/could fail. Of course riser design and torque are a huge factor FOR ME. As far as speed: as long as I can fling an arrow @28" 60# 385ish grain arrow 280fps I'm fine. Dont want to worry about cam timing, a dont want out dated solo cam....you can only invent the wheel so many times

Something longer. 34-36" ata. Speed with a good brace height. Single cam for less timing troubles.

this may sound dumb, but i have always mounted a watch on my bow. i don't wear a wrist watch.

fyi...make sure the alarm is turned off!

I'm on the same fence as Low Fence, and I have about the same DL and poundage. I currently shoot about a 35" A2A for a "hog only" bow, which is fine for shooting in the dark where movement is not seen so well. In a "whitetail bow", I'd prefer a short A2A, 30" and under, for when packing into a place (I do a lot of that being a public lands hunter), and maneuverability in tight brush/trees/ground blinds with about the same speed/poundage/let-off/quietness/smoothness ect. I'm comfortable with a short brace height being that I have about a 28" DL. Course a sub-30" A2A would also require a very short stab. So bow ballance needs to be really close with that DL to help reduce "pack in" weight.

Exactly like a SB XT but 300+fps at 60lbs/28" in a hunting setup.

I'd like a sub 30" axle to axle with a 6" brace height....less than 3 lbs bare bow

Oh and while we're at it 400 fps!!

Affordiability. Price keeps going up but they are not much different in
Performance and function as the year befores models.
Seems these days we pay more for names and 1 or 2 changes.
Show me a bow that really is worth 5 to 700 bucks better than most
                        $500 dollar bows.
