    Rusty Wier "I stood Up"

I heard this song on the radio earlier and I am trying to find the MP3. Man I like this song!

Used to be a big fan of Rusty back in the day. Was really sad to hear of his passing a few years back. Your posting brought back memories of the late great Panther Hall.

Rusty was the man. Not only did he write/sing songs, but after his set he would come visit with you. I miss him and his music. When I was working in the oilfield in s Texas I came into Aqua Dulce and that song came on. Deja vue. I think I saw the park bench he was singing about.

See your in Arlington and your mentioning Panther Hall (been there a few times) made me think of the Minshaft in Arlington where I consumed many cold beverages back in the '70's.

My cousin and I used to party with Rusty and the band after gigs at The Hole in the Wall in Nacogdoches in the mid 70's. We lived out west of town at a crossroads called Nat.

It was right in between Loco Valley and Looneyville. He was a down home likeable fellow. Of course, I don't remember much from those days.
