Hey now, I'm a Texan, just trying to re-colonize the northern piece we lost when we joined
I shot plenty of javies as a kid (and a few more recently), never heard of anyone measuring them. What's a good 'score'? Is it just length & width like a bear, or are you measuring tusks?
I measured mine that I took in February, but I think you have to let them dry for 60 days. What I had read is that anything over 13 12/16" is considered a trophy.Measure from the back of the skull to the nose, without the teeth and the widest part of the skull across. Mine measured 14 8/16", but again, it hasn't gone through the drying period.
You should also consider having someone from the Texas Bowhunting Bowfishing Records, (TBBR from the Lone Star Bowhunters Association, LSBA) measure your animals......if you took the animal with a bow in Texas.....the LSBA banquet, held every year, was created to recognize animals taken with bow and arrow in Texas.....

that is why I am wanting it measured. I shot it with my Super Kodiak recurve.
I would like TBBR to measure it. I wrote TBGA by mistake
