I took this job knowing what could happen. My wife married me, not knowing a thing about the military. To me, we (service members) are just doing what we get paid to do, a job just like everyone else. I can't speak for all service members, but I appriciate all the thank yous and support. This GS is like a second family to me. I would be proud to share a seat at any fire with you guys. Thank a soldier, but at the same time, thank a soldiers family. They make just as many if not more sacrifices as the soldier.
