I just recently got switched from roadrunner to comcast. While I love the speed of cable, I'm fed up with having only one option (DSL doesn't cut it, our provider's service is just as bad as comcast)! For example, my cable went out two weeks ago on a Friday morning. After a few calls with them telling us it was our modem/cable box, I decided to check the closest connection on my side to their side. No dice. No signal. I went behind my fence to find where they had been out there, marking lines, digging and such. It was pretty cut and dried that during whatever work was done, a line was cut, not connected or something. IT TOOK A FULL WEEK AND DOZENS OF CALLS FOR THEM TO FIX IT. They missed several of their appointments and we never saw a repairman. We were told by a "manager" that this was unacceptable only to have them not show up for the next two appointments. After a week, it suddenly started working again. I wanted to burn the place down!!!!!!

This is the speed I am getting with Suddenlink. Our internet cost us $22 "in a package with a lifetime discount", but we were paying $129 per month. I just called them about 3 days ago and they tweaked the package and got it down to $116 a month for the cable TV with internet. Is this about what it cost everyone else? I sure wish I could pick up a TV signal with an antenna, this cable TV is a rip off! I've seriously thought about going to satellite, but I can't keep my cable internet unless I also have cable TV. I don't think the total bill with DSL and satellite TV would save much over what I am paying now.Last edited by Keith; 10-06-2007, 09:06 AM.
