Need advise for a good fish finder for around 100$

I have a lonestar v hull boat and I am lookin for a decent fish finder. I have never owned a fish finder so I have no idea what to look for as far as pros/cons on any particular make and model. Any help would be appreciated.

You're not going to get a lot of bells & whistles or the best available technology at that price point. Look at the Eagle Cuda line if you just want some basic features. I know a few guys that have them mounted on their kayaks and have been happy with their ability to view the display in bright sunlight and durability in wet conditions. Pretty basic stuff but works ok from what I have witnessed. That's all I've got for ya.

i have a humminbird one in about that price range on my jon boat, cant remember which one it is but ill check when i get home. there isn't anything fancy to it at all but it gets the job done. all i use it for is to figure out the contour of the bottom and to pick up bait fish clouds. it doesnt read the depth too well, but i think that lies in the way i mounted the transducer. it does what i need it to though.

Garmin 140 at academy for $69.00 closeout. Good for the $ but don't expect much.

i have the humminbird 535. not sure what the differences are offhand. its by far not the best out there, but it'll give you a basic idea of whats down there if that's what you're wanting. im pleased with mine.
