Hunters Ed ????

I would like to know if my son needs his hunters ed??? I know by his birthdate he does,BUT being military does he need it??? I know the good folks at the Parks and Wildlife Dept. give our great military personnel the hunting license for free,so do they exempt military from the hunters ed??? A BIG THANKS in advance to all that reply....Brian
