I've got a 2.5 year old miniature dachshund/some kind of terrier(I think) mix that I'm interested in training for blood trailing and the like.
Where does one get started with this type of thing? She's extremely smart, even problem solving...she learned to push open the drawer from behind where we keep her ball when we're tired of playing. She's got a great nose, she can smell her tennis ball inside a lockbox(not airtight) from on top of the fridge when she didn't see anyone put it up there.
Is she too old to pursue this training? Or can she be a jedi yet?
