A couple of my buddies where surf fishing this past weekend. A four footer decided to get a quick taste in knee deep water. He's pretty lucky! It could have been a lot worse. Scary none the less.

Is it a guess that the shark was 4 foot or was it hooked up when he got bit then they measured it after they got it in. Because I live on the beach and it is so rare for a shark to do that. It would make alot more sense if they had it hooked up and were trying to leader it in and got bit by a shark that was trying to throw the hook and the leg got in the way of an open sharks mouth. At least that's the only time I've been bit.
