My 3yo son stepped up to a 7yo bully this weekend. So the 7yo has a little brother who is 2yo. The 2yo is also a bully, he was pushing my boy. My boy punched him in the face and pushed him down to the ground. The older brother didn’t like it much so he started to bully my boy. The 7yo is probably around 80lbs, my boy is little at about 35lbs. I was watching at a distance to make sure it didn’t get to out of hand. The 7yo started telling my boy things, next thing I know my boy gave him 2 foot stomps and a punch to the stomach lol. And my boy ran off lol. Mama wasn’t too happy that I let it get that far…

Ok here is this question. Even though fights between 8 or 9 or 10 or 11 year old boys aren’t as violent as a fight between 2 teenagers or grown ups is it still considered a real fight? And should boys at 8 or 9 or 10 years old be allowed to fight without getting punished with being grounded or privileges taken away?

First time I got in a fight I got home and my mom asked me “did you start it?” - no ma’am. “Did you at least finish it?” - no ma’am
“We’ll you better fix that next time then”
My dads rule was always let people say what they want about you and your sisters. Anyone lays a hand on you or your sisters it’s your job to finish it. Sad kids can’t just work it out these days. Heck some of my closest friends to this day are people that I got into fist fights with and when it was done it was done. Shook hands and moved on, that’s how I met the guy who ended up being the best man at my wedding

Not sure how old I was in 5th or 6th grade. I witnessed one of the best fights of my life in the cafeteria of Creighton Intermediate in Conroe, TX. Eddie Sandoval made Chris Taylor’s braces stick to his lips. I thought it was the best thing ever.

Put my in ufc training at the age of 5 he is 8 and besides all sports he is in he is well respected between kids his age actually had one parent at a basketball game stop the entire game because my son rocked him after his kid was pushing up against my son and elbowing him. Literally had to get on the court and back my son up and the dad shot out flying from the bleachers going after my son
