    I started to go fishing

"Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth
in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful".
    Psalms 1: 1-3
    *************************
I recently read the story of a little boy who was late for Sunday School and
said to the Pastor, "I started to go fishing, but my Dad wouldn't let me go."
"Wise dad," answered the boy's Pastor.
"Did he explain why you couldn't go?"
"Yes," replied the boy, "there wasn't enough bait for two people."

Parents should put the Savior above sports and the things of the world, by
    example and exhortation.
We should put God before gold, character above
our convenience, principle above popularity, and self-control above
self-indulgence. When we get our priorities right, we find things work out
    for good in our lives.
We are told in God's Holy Word that those have joys who do not follow the advice
of evil men.....but their delight is in doing what the Lord wants them to do.
We need to have a desire to put everything we have into living for the Lord.
Our delight should be in doing God's will and following Him more closely.
Through our actions, more than our words, we will be examples to our
    friends and families.
