    BOATING: Auto/Manual inflatable PFD's...???

found a deal on BueStorm brand Pro33 and wondered if anyone had anything good/bad to say about them...

$50.....from what I can tell of the others that are out there...this is about half price of the lower end models...

don't think I'd trust my life with an auto pfd. I think they're loopholes to use in tournaments where a pfd is required at all times or atleast better than nothing.

Not sure what your getting at with the tournament angle. If a tournament requires you to wear a pfd an auto/manual inflatable is sufficient. However. For it to count as one of your life vests in the boat it must be worn at all times or you must have a regular pfd in the boat

Regarding the actual life vest. I have no experience with that one. The only time I wear an auto inflate is in the winter with heavy clothes when I know I probably couldn't swim. Otherwise if you just want it for running just stick with the reg life vest imo

These sounds like opions and this is not what Blacksushine is asking he wants to know if this is a good deal or not.
Not if you will use it or not.
I Have never seen them but where did you get it I would pay $50.00 to try one.

I was looking for something that can easily be kept out of the way whilst trying to fish. this is an auto and manual vest...about the only drawback is the re-arm kits. it seems this particular model vest is older and no longer carried, replaced by others at 2-3 times the price...so they don't carry the re-arm kits...with a little research I found that the same sku for the re-arm kit is being used by a different 'brand' on cabelas...same exact part for $20...which is inline with the other re-arm kits...
