I would suggest going to College Station over Bryan. Are they looking to buy a house I have a friend over there in college station that is fixing to put his house on the market it is older home but in good shape.
I am living in Bryan for 3 months while training for a new job and would recommend CS over Bryan. It is amazing how they are just a mile apart but the whole community is different.
i am new to the area, but looked all over the place a few months back. i live in south college station and its really nice around here. i even live in a semi-college student area. pm me if you want any advice from me. i dont know everything but i know price ranges of a pretty wide range of neighborhoods that might put them in the right ballpark. also school districts if that helps
Realize that College Station is a college town. A problem that you run into is that you never know when your new neighbors maybe college students and all that comes with them, parties, loud music extra. Both towns have good schools and neighbors hoods. I live Bryan in Austin Colony subdivision where Bownanza is held.
Thanks for the help, and keep it coming. She just let me know today that she got a promotion to assistant manager for enterprise car rental and they have to move to the Bryan area in about 2 weeks.
bryan is not as bad as everyone makes it out to be i have been in this town for 25 years if they are buying a house, bryan taxes are a whole lot cheaper and and the students are everywhere its something you get used to and mine are pretty good if they get loud i tell them and they keep it down. if they need to know what areas are okay just let me know.
Bryan has nice areas. College Station is nice as well but their government loves spending tax payer money.
My wife is a realtor in the area if they would like to have someone help them find the right place to buy. She has/is working with other tbh'rs. Let me know if you would like her information.

I would definatley reccommend her if you need a realtor. Super nice and extremely helpful!
They both have good and bad locations, and students are almost everywhere. Single FAMILY housing doesn't necessarily mean that anymore unless you live in places like Traditions, Pebble Creek, or Castlegate. Go with a realtor, but look out for yourself and check out the neighborhoods during the day and night; also the traffic patterns, proximity to work and shopping and if will they have to compete with A&M traffic on a daily basis. Check the utility rates and schools in both. Supposedly, Bryan is less expensive for utilities. Also check the tax rates for the cities and the school districts (online).
