    Blood Trailing Book?

I've started training my Catahoula on her basics and will soon be starting her on blood trailing.

I did a search and came up with several blood trailing books and I was just wondering which one y'all recommend.

John Jeanneney's "Tracking Dogs For Finding Wounded Deer", hands down.

You don't have to wait to start her on blood. Get her going while you're doing the basics as well

Yes sir, I agree. I'm on the look out for blood right now.

I do like to have a little handle on them in the beginning.

I've trained numerous bird dogs but this will be my first blood dog.

Blood is blood - don't worry about what kind. I use hog blood a lot in the off season because I have access to a lot of it. But, one of the best blood dog trainers I know uses a lot of cow blood, from a local butcher, when the deer blood runs out.
