    Computer help

I need some help with a virus I got. When I search anything it redirects me to advertisements when i click on the searched item and it won't let me download any anti virus programs. Also I have seen to try to start in safe mode, but I don't know how. Any help would be appreciated.

Start your computer up and start pressing F8. Don't stop until you see a black screen with options and one being safe mode. Select one without networking then once it boots in safemode select no on the first screen that comes up. It will take you to a screen that will let you do a system restore. Select a date you know it was working. Then restart it and see if that fixes that. If you need help call me. 817 637 4590 Derek

Run spybot in safe mode. If that doesn't work run combofix. No matter you use run it in safe mode with system restore off.

Once your PC is clean again, you might want to check out Ad Aware software. It's free and works wonderfully. I have always had success with it when running a PC.

see if you can get pc tools, then buy the anti virus, same thing happened to me, couldn't go to Mcafee or any other virus protection sites, I got to the pc tools. http://www.pctools.com/spyware-doctor-antivirus/

Ok, here is what you do.

                Go to www.fsecure.com

On the right side of the page is free tools.

                Select Online Scanner

Follow the instructions for the install.

It takes a while to load the app and the database, be patient.

Run a full scan, it will strip away any viruses or adware trash.

Sounds like you have a adware problem.

I usually charge $220 an hour for this but since I didn't have to get off the couch and my coffee cup is half full, its free today.
