So I'm north bound on a Farm to Market road this morning about 6:45. The county is actually widening the road so there are temporary barricades on my side of the road. There was a lane shift from new road to the current original blacktop road that I had just gone through about 100 yards back. As I was going through the transition section, I thought to myself, "self....this could be a bad spot for a head-on collision." Not five seconds later, there is a southbound vehicle in my northbound lane closing fast. I was about to take evasive action, when the vehicle jumps up on top of the concrete barrier and starts sliding on top of it. I'm hard on my brakes and sparks are flying out from under the vehicle that is sliding toward me. At the last moment the car completely goes over the barrier and lands in the construction area.
Her car's right front tire blew out causing her to veer right taking her into the bar ditch but she quickly reacted yanking left, over correcting and coming right into my lane. If I had been 10 seconds earlier, well who knows.
WEW!!!!!!! God is great.
