Need a lil help with a used Garmin 260 I received. Is there a update ( Free or Cost ) that I can get from the garmin site? What do I need to get the update?

Log in to the Garmin site. Register the unit and then you can get all the updates for the unit. -
garmin.com and find your device. fw is usually free but maps and what not usually cost ya.Comment

Fyi, I believe there is a recall on the Nuvi 260 for battery issues, check that out on the website. You can enter the serial # to verify if your device is affected.Comment

With my eTrex I had to buy the cable from the serial port on the computer to the gps unit. I don't know how yours is configured.Comment
