Got word this morning that the location of the visitation and memorial services for Frank will be relocated to South Park Baptist Church in Alvin.
Visitation will still be Thursday March 24 from 5-7 followed by the memorial service @ 7.

Can the rest of you Alvin locals help get the word out?
Especially you guys who frequented Broken Arrow.

Frankie Carrel Scott, age 71, of Alvin, Texas has left to be with his Savior on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at his residence in Alvin, Texas.

Frank had lived in Alvin since the age of 8, having been born in Kingsland, Arkansas on April 16, 1939. He was employed as a teacher for the Friendswood Independent School District for 18 years. During the summer months he would offer the opportunity for groups of his students to attend his “Great Outdoors wilderness Boys Camp” where he would teach his students about nature, fishing, & camping. Upon retirement he pursued his life-long dream of owning an archery shop and soon opened Broken Arrow Archery next to Parks Restaurant in Alvin. Prior to his passing he had been serving as a substitute teacher for the AISD where he made many good friends and was a favorite among his students. Frank had many interests in life such as music, art, flying, hunting, fishing, classic cars, motorcycles, and life in general. He was comfortable sitting behind a piano entertaining the crowd and putting on a show. He served in the United States Army, 101st Airborne Paratroopers Division. Frank was a member of the Blue Knights International Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club, TX VI, serving as their current Chaplain. He was the Music Director of the Biker Church in Manvel, Texas, and served in Gospel Music ministry for 40+ years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carrel and Frances Scott.

Frank is survived by his wife, Judy Scott, son, Frank Scott and wife Lisa, two grand- daughters, Shayla Scott and Taylor Scott, brother, Arthur Scott and numerous other relatives and friends.

“For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens”, CORINTHIANS 5:1

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Thursday, March 24, 2011, at South Park Baptist Church, followed immediately by a “Celebration” of Frank’s life at 7:00 P.M.
